Historic hotels in the region of Upper Palatinate

Impressive late 19th century palace-hotel in the Old Town of Ratisbon, the historical capital of the Sacred Roman-Germanic Empire. The building stands out for the magnificent Neo-Rococo-style façade with 18 window axes.

A former medieval castle rebuilt and enlarged in the late 1800s following the architectural style of Romantic Historicism and currently used as a convention hotel. It was the seat of noble Holnstein family.

Lovely youth hostel housed in a hilltop castle in the Bavarian village of Trausnitz, on the edge of the Pfreimad valley. The three-wing well preserved fortified complex was first mentioned in 1261 and has witnessed numerous important historical events.
