Historic hotels in the department of Saône-et-Loire

Charming bed and breakfast nestled in a 2-hectare park in the village of Châtenoy-le-Royal, near the town of Chalon-sur-Saône. The beautiful building that houses the guestrooms was built in the 18th century and enlarged in the 1880s.

Beautiful hilltop medieval castle surrounded by a historic family-owned wine estate ideally located between the town of Mâcon and the Cluny Abbey. The accommodation consist of a suite housed in the keep, several guest rooms in the former castle stables and a cottage for rent.

Just 12 km west of Tournus, on the Saône Valley, we find a small 14th century castle listed in the inventory of French historical monuments. Pierre de Saint-Julien de Balleure, a famous Burgundian historian, was born here in 1519.
